Tubing measurement system gains autofocus upgrade

Multi Lumen Vision System Angle Systems’ benchtop, vision-based system measures various characteristics of multi-lumen tubing offline. The fully automatic device, which can be used on the manufacturing floor for quality control or in the lab for R&D, measures variables such as wall thickness, area, inner and outer diameters and concentricity. It works with a variety of materials and provides electronic data reports and database connectivity via a Wi-Fi connection. 

What’s new? Autofocus technology, a recent upgrade. 

Benefits Fast, precise measurements and the reduction of scrap. The new autofocus technology eliminates the need for precise sample preparation; instead of using jigs to cut samples to an exact height, users can quickly cut a piece of tube without concern for its specific dimensions. Fast sample preparation and speedy measurements allow operators to more quickly adjust production equipment to eliminate the manufacture of off-spec tubing, reducing waste.
